N2 - Diffraction patterns in the (h h l) plane of ErFe2O4-δ, measured as a function of temperature, show the two-dimensional spin (ferrimagnetic)-charge ordering of Fe2+ and Fe3+ with weak correlations between the planes. A model recently proposed for this spin-charge ordering has been examined by measurements of the intensity for three different crystal directions in the c-plane, since the model leads to the existence of three kinds of domain with quite different volumes. In contrast to this expectation, the results show no appreciable intensity differences.
