N2 - One of most popular activities for training operators in Japanese chemical plants is the PKY (Process Kiken Yochi) activity to make them confirm the knowledge of diagnosing plant conditions when an alarm is annunciated. The results of PKY activities can be regarded as the collection of standard diagnosis knowledge and operation know-how. However, the results were not used in a real operation as references of operation. This study investigates a technique to effectively use the results of PKY activities in operations and develops an interface system to display the PKY sheets related with the alarm annunciated. The applicability of the interface system is confirmed by trial usages by some operators of real chemical plants although some requirements are claimed.
