Vortex phase diagram of CeRu2

Abstract

Vortex phase diagram and peak effect have been investigated by the magnetization measurements for various CeRu2 samples with different quality. The peak effect survives even in the extremely qualified samples and in the magnetic field H∥〈1 1 1〉. Field dependence of the anomalous magnetization reveals that the strong-pinning region terminates at H* = 24 kOe and T* = 4.0 K, independent of the quality of sample.
