    Abstract

    Stable generation of 8 GPa in 16 cm**3 (recovered cell volume) is realized in an MA8 pressure-generating system with the use of newly developed homogeneous metal gaskets. The compressed volume has been increased tenfold in comparison with those in current multiple anvil systems. A new electric lead-out method has been devised for measurements at high temperature. The thermal regime is discussed on safety criteria.
