Abstract
We experienced 3 cases of spontaneous pneumomediastinum. The patients were a 21-year-old male and two 26-year-old females. They complained of chest pain and dysphasia. X-ray examination and chest CT scan revealed pneumomediastinum. After 1 week follow-up, the pneumomediastinum had completely resolved and no recurrence was observed. Spontaneous pneumomediastinum is uncommon and usually benign. Most patients require only conservative treatment.
