Abstract
Recent developments of information and communication technology and a lack of the number of radiologist in Japanese local communities have promoted the market of teleradiology. However, regulation systems of teleradiology in Japan had not achieved the level to manage teleradiology with certain standards. The Japan radiological society (JRS) has established a new certified board system according to the guideline of the Japanese board of medical specialties. A renewal of the board of specialized diagnostic radiologist now needs a course of teleradiology at least once every five year because the JRS think that teleradiology should be managed by JRS certified diagnostic radiologists.
