Abstract
Peroxo-polytungstate anion formed by direct reaction of metallic W with H2O2 precipitated K+, Cs+ and Ba2+. Thermal decomposition of these amorphous precipitates at moderate temperatures yielded new crystalline phases (xM2O·WO3 or xMO·WO3) with 1-D- or 3-D-tunnels based on frameworks of coner-shared WO6 octahedra. Structural analysis was performed by the Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray data.
