N2 - This paper have delineated the effectiveness of [3+2] cycloaddition process in the synthesis of multifunctional 6-membered rings. The novel synthesis of chiral A-ring fragment of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 and also a novel route to A-ring fragment of taxane diterpenoids have been established.
