Abstract

In order to obtain microscopic information about the metal-insulator (M-I) transition in SmRu4P12, 31P-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements using a single crystal have been carried out. Each 31P-NMR line splits into two lines below the M-I transition temperature, consistent with the antiferro-type ordered structure with a wave vector q = (1, 0, 0) proposed by the previous 101Ru-NQR experiments. We also found a remarkable kink in the temperature dependence of the resonance frequencies at 12.5K, which may be related to an anomaly in the temperature dependence of the order parameter.
