Abstract

Spatial pattern of charge ordering in two-dimensional compound θ-(BEDT-TTF)2RbM′(SCN)4 (M′ = Zn, Co) was revealed using single crystal X-ray structural analysis below the metal-insulator transition temperature Tc of around 190 K. Molecular ionicity was evaluated by the intramolecular bond length. The ordering pattern of charge disproportion among ET molecules was stripe ordered alternating c-axis (horizontal stripe).
