Space-group determination of a new superconductor (Nd0.66Sr0.205Ce0.135)2CuO4-δ using convergent-beam electron diffraction

Abstract

The space group of the superconducting phase of (Nd0.66Ce0.135Sr0.205)2CuO4-δ was reexamined using the most powerful method in determining crystal space groups, convergent-beam electron diffraction (CBED), because the Rietveld analysis is of no help if the wrong space group is assumed. The space group of a superconductor (Nb0.66Sr0.205Ce0.135)2CuO4-δ was determined to be P4/nmm.
