Abstract

A 64-year old man was referred to our hospital with difficulty of urination. Physical examination revealed a palpable mass in the right lateral abdominal region. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging suggested retroperitoncal lipoma. Transperitoneal resection was performed. The weight of the tumor was 1,500g. Histological examinations revealed lipoma. There have been 76 reported cases of retroperitoneal lipoma before our case in Japan.
