Soil water movement during ground freezing is one of an important subject to explain the ground water in cold district. But the force of the ground water flow has not been observed in freezing unsaturated sandy soils yet. In order to make clear the cause of this type behavior, some experiments of soil freezing are carried out and the soil pore water pressure phenomenons in freezing soil are measured. To estimate the ground water movement in freezing soil, a numerical analysis is developed by using integrated finite difference method with coupling heat and ground water movement. The observed results are compared to the simulated results of coupled heat and ground water flow. These are good agreement.
