Abstract

It is very important to develop a system to support operators in an abnormal plant condition for improving the safety of nuclear power plants. When an unanticipated condition happens, operators should take a model-based approach to set a goal of counter measure considering the plant condition and to plan a counter operation procedure by themselves under high mental pressure. A promising solution is to develop a computerized model-based system to generate plausible counter operation procedures and to select a suitable procedure according to the accident management policy of operators and resources necessary for taking counter operation procedures. The previous study by authors proposed a technique to generate plausible counter operation procedures using an MFM model as a base model to manage an unanticipated condition. However, the selection of a suitable counter operation procedure has not been fully considered. The goal of this study is to investigate the representation of material resource information for selecting a suitable operation procedure. The approach of this study is to investigate what information of plant components is related with the effectiveness of a counter operation procedure and to classify the information considering RAG (Resilience Analysis Grid) that is a technique to analyze the resilience of a system. The results of this study are seven sub-categories of physical recourse information of plant components necessary for evaluating plausible counter operation procedures and a representation method of physical resource information in an MFM model.
