Quasiparticle density of states of clean and dirty d-wave superconductors: Mixed-state specific heat of La2-cursive greek chiSrcursive greek chiCuO4 single crystals

Abstract

The temperature and the magnetic field dependence of the quasiparticle specific heat CQP(T, H) in La2-cursive Greek chiSrcursive Greek chiCuO4 single crystals has been investigated. CQP(T, H) of overdoped cursive Greek chi = 0.19 crystals obeys the scaling law predicted for "clean" d-wave systems. In contrast, for the under and optimally doped cursive Greek chi = 0.10 and 0.16 crystals. CQP(T, H) shows the "dirty" d-wave behavior, recently discussed by Kübert and Hirschfeld, indicating a crossover from dirty to clean d-wave behavior with doping.
