Abstract

A novel cytotoxic pyridine alkaloid, pyrinodemin A (1), with a unique cis-cyclopent[c]isoxazolidine moiety has been isolated from the Okinawan marine sponge Amphimedon sp., and the structure was elucidated from 2D NMR data and EIMS fragmentation.
