    Abstract

A convenient synthetic route for the syntheses of 6,7-dihydro-5H-pyrido[2,3-6]pyrimido[4,5-d]azepine and its 4-substituted derivatives starting from ethyl 2-aminopyridine-3-carboxylate is described as the fist example of the unknown ring system. A new class of anti-platelet aggregation activity for them against collagene-induced aggregation of rabbit blood platelet in vitro was found.
