Photocontrol of dynamic phase transition in the charge-density wave material K0.3MoO3

Abstract

A charge-density waves (CDW) material K0.3MoO3 was examined. Photoinduced dynamic chase transition from slide to creep states was observed. This effect was attributed to the photoinduced phase slip and redistribution of the CDW chase. The drastic change of the conductance indicated the long-range coherence of the sliding CDW and its sensitivity to the phase deformation localized only near the sample surface.
