Abstract

The Content Distribution Platform provides a platform for production support, copyright management, media asset management, media delivery and browsing by integrating various technologies, such as media processing technology for voice and video and multimedia database technology, which have long been studied by NTT Cyber Communications Laboratory Group. It constitutes part of the Information Sharing Platform being developed as a key objective of NTT Laboratories, and will serve as the infrastructure for diverse content sharing platform services, such as video content delivery services and digital asset management services, which are intended to promote the secondary use of digital content. This article presents the intended roles of the Content Distribution Platform and the various technologies used in the platform.
