N2 - A possibility is pointed out for the construction of grand unified theories with a partial unification inducing a sizable nn oscillation and still compatible with the cosmological baryon asymmetry scenario. This is achieved in a class of unified models with an extra U(1), but without left-right symmetry. An SU(6) unification model is studied in detail as an example.
