Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of novel fluorinated poly(aryl ether keton)s (PEKs) containing perfluorphenylene moieties derived from 2,3,4,5,6-Pentafluorobenzoic acid are presented. The obtained PEKs show excellent solubilities in common solvents and are cast into tough films. They also exhibit the high tg's and outstanding thermal stabilities.
