Abstract
In mixed-model assembly line problem in JIT production system, to keep the consumption rate of each part is very important. It is called parts usage leveling goal. The goal chasing method (GC) and a number of paper have been proposed to achieve this goal. Recently, the time-based goal chasing method (TBGC) that is consideration of the different assembly time among each product has been proposed. The good point of TBGC is able to consider the working situation at assembly line. However, TBGC has been only applied to simple assembly line problem. In the assembly line, line stops do not happen because working area is not restricted and total length of the line is assumed to be long enough. In this paper, working situations are formulated in order to apply TBGC to an aessembly line problem which has line stops.
