Magnetic ordering in Lu2Fe3O7

Abstract

Magnetic properties of Lu2Fe3O7 were studied by Mössbauer and neutron diffraction experiments. Two-dimensional magnetic ordering is concluded. A difference is that the Mössbauer spectrum shows two kinds of ordering temperatures, 260 and 60 K, but neutron diffraction measurement shows the ordering below 300 K without any anomaly.
