Abstract

This paper evaluates interference characteristics according to LED lighting and photodetector arrangement in spatially parallel signal transmission with plural LEDs and photodetectors, and considers the optimal arrangement method based on the evaluation results. In this evaluation, a lot of LED lighting on a plane and several photodetectors on the same point are used. The evaluation results show that there are appropriate values of LED lighting interval to the incident angle limitation of photodetectors, and interference from plural LED lightings at each photodetector can effectively be reduced by LED lighting arrangement based on the results. This shows the feasibility of spatially parallel signal transmission in LED visible light communication.
