Abstract
The study of two-magnon spectra in a ferromagnetic chain with competing interactions suggests that the soft two-magnon bound state leads the ferromagnetic ground state to a new ground state with intermediate magnetization. Numerical calculations for finite chains support this result. We discuss the new state by adopting a quasi-particle picture for the bound state.
