Abstract
Pyridine-intercalated MnPS3 single crystals show a discontinuity at about 2 GPa in the IR absorption frequency and intensity changes with increasing pressure. The discontinuity is attributable to a pressure-induced phase transition accompanied by an orientational change of the pyridine species in the interlayer space.
