Abstract

Magnetic field mapping was carried out using a search coil method for a large gap spectrometer magnet. The magnetic field volume of 3 × 3.5 × 1 m3 was scanned by 18 sets of coils, each of which had three-dimensional coils. The performance of the high speed mapping is described.
