Abstract
In order to study the mesoscopic effects of SDW systems, we have tried fabrication of organic hetero-junctions. We used a (TMTSF)2PF 6 or (TMTSF)2ClO4 single crystal itself as an electrode in the conventional electrochemical crystal growth, and overgrew (TMTSF)2ClO4 or (TMTSF)2PF6 on it. We successfully obtained (TMTSF)2PF6/(TMTSF) 2ClO4 single crystal junctions, which is an elementary structure to fabricate mesoscopic SDW systems. We confirmed that the overgrown part of this metal/SDW junction shows the normal bulk properties. This fact suggests that epitaxial growth was successfully realized. We also present a model for the SDW transition in very thin Q1D conductors with finite number of ID chains as a mesoscopic SDW system.
