Abstract
Recently, we have reported a facile synthesis of a fullerodendron having carbomethoxy or carboxylate groups at the terminals. And the fullerodendron act as a dispersant of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) in both water and organic solvent by interaction between SWNTs and the C60 moiety of fullerodendrons (Figure 1). This paper describes that syntheses of novel fullerodendrons which can act as dispersant of SWNTs. Furthermore, an effect of the terminal groups of fullerodendrons on dispersibility of SWNTs in D 2O or THF was investigated.
