Flow resistance and heat transfer characteristics of water solution with surfactant in circular tubes

Abstract

The reduction characteristics of flow resistance and heat transfer of water solutions with surfactant in tubes were investigated experimentally. Flow resistance and heat transfer of water solutions with surfactant were markedly reduced as compared with those of pure water flow. Useful nondimensional correlative equations for flow resistance and heat transfer were derived in terms of various nondimensional parameters.
