Abstract
We report a 64-year-old woman who developed endogenous endophthalmitis in the course of severe periodontitis. Histopathological examination ofthe vitreous debris obtained during vitrectomy disclosed fungi and its culture identified Aspergillus flavus. Periodontitis should be considered as one ofthe infectious foci for endogenous fungal endophthalmitis as well as bacterial endophthalmitis.
