Abstract
N-Oxyl-mediated electrooxidation of sec-alcohols in ionic liquids was performed successfully to give the corresponding ketones. By use of ionized N-oxyl, [TEMPOmim][NTf2], both the ionic liquids and the N-oxyl compound could be recovered and reused for the electrooxidation of alcohols.
