Elastic anomalies of valence fluctuating CeNiSn

Ultrasonic investigation was performed on CeNiSn single crystals using a 4He cryostat with a 14 T superconducting magnet. Abrupt hardening was newly found in longitudinal modes, evidently suggesting gap formation around 5 K.
