Abstract

This research evaluated the secular changes of outdoor air temperature impact on urban energy consumption for residential and office, commercial, transportation (only vehicle) sectors. Firstly, air temperature sensitivities in each energy and sectors were estimated by various data, and the impact on energy consumption in 2015 were evaluated by these temperature sensitivities comprehensively. And then, the impact of temperature rises due to global warming upon air temperature sensitivities in 2040 were evaluated. As a result, the impact of outdoor air temperature decreased by 2.2 PJ from 2000 (by authors) to 2015, but it increased by 3.9 PJ from 2015 to 2040.
