Abstract
This report presents electronic properties of an ionic mixed-stack charge-transfer compound, (BEDO-TTF)(Cl2TCNQ), which is a magnetic insulator exhibiting Curie-Weiss behavior in magnetic susceptibility followed by a sharp drop at around 100∼120K. The vibronic spectra of this compound at low temperature clearly indicate that the observed magnetic anomaly is not associated with the conventional "spin-Peierls"-like dimeric lattice distortions.
