abstract = "Donor-π-acceptor type porphyrin-fullerene dyads with an acetylene bridge were designed and synthesized. The dyad was found to produce a charge-separated state with a lifetime of 0.42 μs and a quantum yield of 0.78 in benzonitrile. The p-type dye-sensitized solar cells with the dyad exhibited higher photovoltaic performance than that with the porphyrin reference without the fullerene moiety.",
