Abstract
The DIPS-11/5E Series Mainframes are large-scale computers developed for NTT's data communication systems. These computers realize a high cost-performance ratio using advanced logic and memory VLSIs, and can communicate with each other using high speed optical-fiber loops, thus realizing a large scale computer-complex. This paper describes their design concept, machine structures and functional improvements.
