Abstract

While reviewing the manuscript entitled “Serum cystatin C levels are associated with coronary artery calcification in women without chronic kidney disease” by Sugiyama H, Miyoshi T, Osawa K, Miki T, Koide Y, Nakamura K, Morita H, and Ito H published in the Journal of Cardiology [J Cardiol 2017;70(6):559–564], three errors have been identified. We regret these errors. 1. Page 599, lines 8–9 in the Abstract The following sentence is not correct: When patients were categorized into three CAC groups based on the Agatston score, mild (<10), moderate (11–399), and severe (≥400) in each sex, This sentence should read as follows: When patients were categorized into three CAC groups based on the Agatston score, mild (0–9), moderate (10–399), and severe (≥400) in each sex, 2. Page 560, lines 39–42 The following sentence is not correct: The cohort was stratified into four groups according to the CAC score: CAC score of 0–9 (n = 204), CAC score of 10–99 (n = 111), CAC score of 100–399 (n = 125), and CAC score ≥400 (n = 158). This sentence should read as follows: The cohort was stratified into three groups according to the CAC score: CAC score of 0–9 (n = 235), CAC score of 10–399 (n = 157), and CAC score ≥400 (n = 64). 3. Page 561, Table 2 line 2 in the column of Mild CAC The number should read “0–9” not “10–9” as given previously. The following table is corrected.
