Abstract

Eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS) is a subgroup of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with nasal polyps, and a refractory disease. We conducted questionnaire surveys to assess the subjective symptoms and evaluate the quality of life (QOL), and evaluated endoscopic nasal polyp score before and after endoscopic sinus surgery. All subgroups of ECRS improved most of subjective symptoms including sense of smell, and QOL scores after surgery. We submitted that not only the way of ESS but also postsurgical medical treatment are important because ECRS tends to recur.
