Abstract

Cerebrospinal fluid dynamics in a case of traumatic intracerebral pneumocephalus are evaluated with metrizamide computed tomographic cisternography. Accumulation of metrizamide into the air cyst through the ventricular system is due to transependymal penetration, which can be explained by the mechanism of the pressure gradient from the ventricle towards the air cyst.
