Blind equalization for an RF hilbert transformer in heterodyne multiband receivers with a single receiver chain

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel blind equalizer for heterodyne multiband receivers with the Hilbert transformer, which can be applied for the cognitive radios. The proposed equalizer employs the correlation estimation and baseband equalizer based on the RLS-CMA for collaborative interference suppression. The proposed equalizer is shown to attain faster convergence than that based on only the RLS-CMA. Moreover, the proposed equalizer is verified to achieve superior BER performance.
