Abstract

In the title compound, C₇H₇N₂ ⁺·C₉H₇O₄^-, hydrogen phenylmalonate anions are connected by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form zigzag chains. The chains are connected to each other by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds through benzimidazolium cations, forming a layer.
