Bent patch antenna for polarization diversity antenna

Abstract

For the next generation wireless data transmission system, the high-speed and the high-capacity system is required. For such system, an adaptive antenna array, the polarization diversity technique or the sector antenna will be used. This paper presents characteristics of a bent patch antenna on the rooftop shaped ground plane to obtain same beam width in the E- and H-plane for an antenna element to compose the sector polarization diversity antenna.
