Assignment of the ground-state spin-parity for 17C through g-factor measurement

Abstract

The g-factor for the 17C ground state was measured by means of the β-NMR spectroscopy with a spin-polarized fragment beam. From the tentative result |g(17C)| = 0.5054(25), we conclude that the ground-state spin-parity for 17C is 3/2+.
