We studied the cases of male urethritis as sexual transmitted disease in our hospital from 1991 to 1999. Decrease of the number of patients was found from 1991 to 1995, but from 1996, because of the prevalence of gonococcal urethritis, the number of patients had increased obviously. About Half of the cases, gonococcal urethritis was infected at the chance of oral sex practiced as prostitution. Enlightenment of prevention against STD is necessary for young people.
