Analysis of an output filter of a single-phase rectifier for PWM inverter

Abstract

This research analyzes the input characteristics and constants of a LC type output filter of a single-phase full-wave diode rectifier whose output dc voltage contains ripple components. The filter is loaded with a PWM inverter which supplies a sinusoidal wave voltage to an RL load. The input characteristics are represented by parameters such as filter circuit constants, power source voltage and output voltage. The variation range of output voltage of the PWM inverter is also discussed.
