A Technical Problem in the Through-Diffusion Experiments for Compacted Bentonite

Abstract

Technical problem in the through-diffusion of compacted bentonite was discussed. Salinity dependence of the effective diffusion coefficient of the sorbing cations was studied. It was found that for cations in bentonite experimental system must be carefully chosen.
