Abstract
Phenytributyltin is found to react with butyl acrylate in the presence of Pd(OAc)2 (10 mol%), Cu(OAc)2 (3 mol), and LiOAc (2 mol) in DMF to afford butyl 3-phenylpropenoate in 77% yield. Methyl vinyl ketone, acrolein, acrylonitrile, and styrene are also applicable to this reaction as a substrate.
