A concept of modeling PVC batch plant in object oriented approach for safety analysis

Abstract

This paper proposes model for Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) batch plant including structure, process, and behavior in integrated system. The design follows S88 standard for batch control system. The novel approach in this model is introducing the fault diagnosis during plant processes that important for safety analysis. The model is implemented by using object-oriented methodology that depicts of the systems integration between static and dynamic relationship. This proposed system is developed based on UML (Unified Modeling Language) as modeling standard language for computer based application design.
