Abstract
Pulmonary mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a rare disease. We report an 11-years-old male with pulmonary mucoepidermoid carcinoma. He had a previous history of recurrent pneumonia. A chest CT scan revealed a tumor-like lesion at the bifurcation of left B9 and B10, about 10mm in diameter. On enhanced CT, it exhibited a marked contrast enhancement. Bronchial dilatation was seen distal to the mass in the lower lobe. Video-assisted pneumonectomy was performed, and the pathological diagnosis was low-grade pulmonary mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
